Discover the Language of Scripture
This is Biblical Hebrew—the language of the Tanakh—not Modern Hebrew. Together, we’ll learn to read Scripture in its original language so we can better understand YHVH’s Word, recognize translation nuances, and deepen our relationship with our Father and His Son, Yeshua.
Why Learn Biblical Hebrew?
The Scriptures were originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. While English translations are an incredible blessing, every translation requires interpretation. Learning Biblical Hebrew allows you to engage with the text more directly, appreciate the richness and beauty of the language, and develop greater confidence in your personal Bible study.
Our goal isn’t to uncover hidden mysteries or secret meanings. It’s to faithfully understand what the biblical authors intended, allowing Scripture to speak for itself. As we grow in our understanding of Biblical Hebrew, we also grow in our understanding of YHVH’s character, His covenant, and His plan of redemption revealed through Messiah Yeshua.
What You Will Learn
Throughout this course, you’ll build a solid foundation in Biblical Hebrew while learning skills you can immediately apply to your Bible study.

Pronunciation and reading.

Foundational vocabulary.

Basic grammar.

How to read passages directly from the Hebrew Scriptures.

How to responsibly conduct Hebrew word studies.

How to recognize and avoid common misconceptions about Biblical Hebrew.
After Sukkot, we’ll also begin incorporating vocabulary and concepts from the weekly Torah portions, giving you practical Hebrew that connects directly with the passages you’re reading each week.
Our goal is that Biblical Hebrew becomes a tool you’ll use every time you open your Bible.
This class is designed for anyone who desires to study the Scriptures more deeply.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or you’ve studied a little Hebrew before, you’re welcome here. No prior knowledge of Hebrew is required.
